The Doorbell Rang

After reading the story, 'The Doorbell Rang' by Pat Hutchins, we had lots of tricky division problem solving to do!  If we did it really well and shared out the cookies fairly, we were allowed to ask Fynn the bear if we could taste one of the cookies!

 

 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 
We then played games on the i-pads to help us with our multiplication and division.

 

 

 

Energy Rescuers

This morning we had a visit from the Energy Rescuers who told us how to save energy.  We are going to try and remember to turn the lights off when we leave the classroom and only have the computers on when we need them.

 

 

 

Dividing

Today in Maths we looked at dividing things into groups.  
We used the Numicon shapes to see how many 2's were in 20.  Can you remember the answer?

Shoebox Rooms

Yesterday we designed our own rooms for a castle.  Today we started to make our designs in our boxes.  We had to think about the size and shape of the materials we were using.

We will need to carry on with them tomorrow...watch this space!

Children in Need

Federation Day

Today we went to Catfield to learn about Diwali.  We did lots of activities with children from Catfield and Hickling.
