Pentominoes

Today in Numeracy we used 5 pieces of Polydron to make a pentomino.

We found 10 different ones.

There are two more two left ........... can you find them?

Miss Wones has set us a challenege while she is away.

How many levels can we complete on the Maths game?

See how many levels you can do!

Norwich Cathedral

Yesterday we went on a school trip with Red Class and Orange Class to Norwich Cathedral.

We've arrived!
Walking through The Cloister.

Baptising the baby

The Font

On a journey through the Cathedral we found out about Baptism, how the altar is used for Holy Communion and why special colours, crosses, clothing and other decorations are used.

Bishop
How many of us could get in the Bishop's cope?

We found patterns, symbols and shapes in stained glass windows.

We looked for different shapes, patterns and symmetry in the decorations and carvings.

Learning about the daily pattern of prayer and music in the cathedral.

Making our very own stain glass window.

Lighting a candle at the end of our visit.

I hope you had a great time at Norwich Cathedral.  I spent yesterday in the woods at Catton Park in Norwich.  Here are some photos of what I got up to...

Alice in Wonderland's 150th Birthday!

150 years ago, Lewis Carroll wrote the amazing story of Alice in Wonderland.  On Friday some of us decided to dress up as a character from the story.  We made some Alice buns for our 'Mad Hatter's Tea Party' and tried some tricky tea party problem solving in Maths.
Our photos were taken by our 'official photographers' Harvey and Archie, who I think you'll agree did a fantastic job!
